Adopting a New Pet?

The Watertown Humane Society is ready to help you with your pet adoption procedure! We have a number of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies along with a selection of small animals that all need loving Forever Homes.

We offer a number of services which are available to residents in our Service Area.

Adoptable Pets

To view pets currently available for adoption, we invite you to visit our Adoptables page.

You will be required to submit an adoption application which will be verified before you will be able to adopt a pet. Please review our Adoption Policies and our Adoption Fees prior to submitting your application.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Watertown Humane Society is to provide for the lost, homeless, neglected and abused animals of the City of Watertown and surrounding communities it contracts with, and to educate and enlighten the public regarding animal welfare.

Donations & Volunteers

It costs a tremendous amount of money to keep our shelter running in order to provide the necessary housing, food and medical needs to the animals in our care. We greatly appreciate any and all tax-deductible cash donations. We’re always looking for Volunteers to help out at the shelter and with our fund raising activities.

We understand that financial times are tight. If you are unable to make a cash donation, you can still help! Won’t you please consider some of our alternative donation options? We are grateful for any and all assistance we receive. Some alternatives involve simply a donation of your time, which doesn’t cost you a penny! Think about it, wouldn’t you just love a warm, fuzzy hug from our wonderful animals? They give so much and ask only for a little attention in return! Volunteer and hug a pet today!

Make a Difference

The Watertown Humane Society is in search of people who would like to make a difference in the lives of stray and unwanted animals! If you are able to commit some of your extra time and talents, you would be a great addition to our Board of Directors! Contact Katie at Katie.osborne99@gmail.com for details.
