Looking to Adopt a New Pet?

The Watertown Humane Society is ready to help you with your pet adoption procedure! We have a number of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies along with a selection of small animals that all need loving Forever Homes.

To view pets currently available for adoption, we invite you to visit our Adoptables page.

You will be required to submit an adoption application which will be verified before you will be able to adopt a pet. Please review our Adoption Policies and our Adoption Fees prior to submitting your application.

Although we don’t like to see families give up their pets, we realize that due to unforeseen circumstances sometimes this is necessary and we’re ready to assist with this as well. Visit our Pet Surrenders page for more information.

We offer a number of services which are available to residents in our Service Area.

It costs a tremendous amount of money to keep our shelter running in order to provide the necessary housing, food and medical needs to the animals in our care. We greatly appreciate any and all tax-deductible cash donations. We’re always looking for Volunteers to help out at the shelter and with our fund raising activities.

We understand that financial times are tight. If you are unable to make a cash donation, you can still help! Won’t you please consider some of our alternative donation options? We are grateful for any and all assistance we receive. Some alternatives involve simply a donation of your time, which doesn’t cost you a penny! Think about it, wouldn’t you just love a warm, fuzzy hug from our wonderful animals? They give so much and ask only for a little attention in return! Volunteer and hug a pet today!
