We have great news! Scout and Scooter have been adopted to their new forever homes!

Unfortunately, there always seem to be new pets to take their place and so at this time, we’d like to introduce you to Ace and Bette!

2009_0828_acebetteAce and Bette came to our shelter in February of 2009 as strays from the township of Waterloo. We’re not sure if they were abandoned together or if they just met and befriended one another along the way. We believe them to be American Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mixes and are approximately 2-3 years old.

They’ve been heartworm tested and vaccinated and after proper feeding at our facility they now seem to be very healthy (very different from the malnourished condition they were picked up in). Although they got along very well when we picked them up after being spayed and neutered they are no longer the best of friends so we are looking to place them separately.

Both Ace and Bette are very good natured dogs but need some work on training as most shelter dogs do. They are young and full of energy so both would do best in active households where they could get plenty of exercise and playtime (they would make excellent jogging partners)! Both dogs are very intelligent and would thrive with adopter(s) that have a little time to work with them.

Ace and Bette have been waiting a very long time to be adopted and welcomed into new forever homes. They would love to visit with anyone at the shelter that may be interested in adopting them. Although they may be intimidating in their kennels at first, once they are taken out you will find they are just big babies that want nothing more to do than run and around and play.

Please contact the shelter via our contact form, or call or visit us if you would like more information or would like to visit with either Ace or Bette.
