Adoptions
The Watertown Humane Society works hard towards our goal of placing animals in forever homes. In order help ensure that this happens, we do not do same-day adoptions. Adoption application approvals are generally completed within 24-48 hours.
We encourage you to visit with your prospective new pet a few times before and after completing your application to be sure the animal will fit into your household. This precious time also allows your potential new pet to get to know you and your family and will help ease any fears the animal may have during the transition to it’s new home!
Our policy requires that you complete an adoption application before you will be permitted to adopt any animal in our care. Applications are available at the shelter or for your convenience, you may download an application in PDF format using the link above. Bring the completed application with you when you visit the shelter. Contact us if you need assistance in completing the application.
Completing an application before you arrive at the shelter will allow us to complete the preliminary paperwork and required verifications prior to your arrival which will make your adoption process move more quickly and efficiently.

If you don’t have the Adobe Reader you may download it FREE from the Adobe web site. Simply install it on your own computer, then return to this page to view, save or print the document.
